Out-Of-State Title and Registration

MADA's Title Relief program includes a partnership with VITU Interstate to provide help with out-of-state titling.

Whether you're serving customers from across the border or snowbirds from across the country, VITU Interstate offers a continuum of services to make it easy for you to take care of them. They can show you the fees your customer will pay, hand over a complete set of titling and registration forms or, most conveniently, register the vehicle for your customer on behalf of the dealership.

Daily Rentals

Since the launch of MNDRIVE, there has been confusion surrounding the processing of daily rentals within e-Services for Business. Following are the proper steps that to follow to allow this transaction to go through: 

·        Vehicle Use Type: Select “Commercial” 

·        Registration Options: Select “New/Change Plate” 

·        Primary Owner: Select “Business/Agency” 

o   Enter Dealer Number 

·        Vehicle Value: Select “Sales Tax Exempt” 

o   Daily Rental 


After making these selections, you will be able to open the “Registration” dropdown, which gives you the option of changing the registration period from “one year” to “four months.”
