Heintz Toyota of Mankato has been sold to Wisconsin- based Ballweg Automotive Companies.

It is the sixth dealership and third Toyota franchise for Ballweg, which also owns Toyota of La Crosse and Toyota of Wasau, as well as Mercedes-Benz of Rochester.

Heintz, which has operated since 1960, will keep its name.

"This is the natural next step for Heintz Toyota continuing to grow and serve the Mankato and Southern Minnesota automotive market.  Knowing Jason Brickl over the last 10 years and the values represented by his team, along with the quality of the people within their other operations proved to be a perfect fit for our team," President Ben Heintz said in a statement.
