FIVE MINNESOTA AUTO DEALERSHIPS HONORED AS COMMUNITY HEROES

Local Businesses Recognized for Their Commitment to Community Service and Charitable Giving

Bloomington, Minn.: The Minnesota Automobile Dealers Association (MADA) named five dealerships as 2018 Community Heroes at its annual luncheon on Friday, December 7, 2018.  Lenzen Chevrolet-Buick of Chaska; Miller Auto & Marine of St. Cloud; Minnesota Motor Company of Fergus Falls; Papik Motors of Luverne; and Village Automotive Group of Wayzata were awarded after demonstrating a strong commitment of time and money to charities and events in their communities.

“MADA is proud of the tremendous work dealers do to give back to their communities,” said Scott Lambert, president of the association. “That’s why we are pleased to showcase the efforts of these five dealerships and their employees who went above and beyond this year to meet the needs of local charities and events in their backyards.”

Conservatively, these five dealerships supported almost 200 organizations in 2018, donating over $250,000 in cash and lending thousands of volunteer hours to serve meals, perform community clean-ups, stuff backpacks, coach little league and host events for the less fortunate.  Organizations across have the state have benefitted from these efforts and vary from institutions like the Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare to the Victoria Fire Department and Rock County Pheasants Forever.

This is the second year that MADA has awarded dealers as “Community Heroes.”
